Meet the Artist
Kat Rodriguez was born in Kentucky, and grew up in Wisconsin. She received her BFA in Studio Arts from the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2015, majoring in Painting and Drawing. She then graduated from the Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2017 with a Technical Diploma in Production Art.
Her watercolor artwork is inspired by her migraines while her acrylic artwork focuses on using bright and bold brush strokes to fill the canvas with great attention to composition.
Rodriguez has exhibited at Kenilworth Studios, and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts at their annual invitational Emerging Artists Exhibition. Her fine artwork has been published in the Furrow Magazine and M Magazine. Rodriguez is the creator of Drawn Out, an artist workshop that helps people explore their creative side with sketchbook outings and making cards for local senior citizens.
